Materials to bring for this class: 1) Fudenosuke brush pen of your choice and 2) drawing pencil (HB, 2B, 3B, 2H, or H).
Materials provided for this class: 1) worksheet packet and 2) pack of high quality tracing paper.
Prerequisite for this class: Beginner Hand Lettering or any basic lettering class. Student must understand the basics of letter formation, the pressure needed to create thick and thin lines, and pen angle.
In this class, we will expound upon the basic alphabet learned in Beginner Hand Lettering. The worksheet packet will include font worksheets such as Mixed Script, Elegant Script, and Basic Serif and Sans Serif Fonts. You will learn how to take your basic lettering to the next level with simple flourishing, as well as bouncing on the baseline and midline of a word.

In this class, you will learn the basics of hand lettering including what kind of paper to use, which pen to buy, how to get thin and thick strokes with a brush pen through pressure, how to hold your pen correctly, and how to form the entire alphabet in a basic script. You will learn the basic foundations for every letter and how to form letters based on those foundations. The good news- you do not need to have good handwriting to succeed with hand lettering! Hand lettering involves muscle memory that you achieve through practice, practice, practice! This class requires no previous experience with lettering or calligraphy.

Do you love lettering, but struggle with legibility? Does your lettering just not look 'right'? Sometimes it is difficult to letter legibly, but it is also difficult to know how to make your lettering legible and beautiful at the same time.
This class will focus on several little tips that will drastically improve your lettering. Tips will include joining letters and keeping consistent spacing, how to make certain tricky letters legible every time, consistent downstrokes, techniques to get rid of shaky letter, size variation, and more! You will receive a worksheet packet.
Prerequisite- Beginner Hand Lettering and preferably Intermediate Lettering or any other lettering class. The student should have basic lettering experience.

Chalk lettering is a fun way to use your lettering skills in another way. You may have seen chalk lettering at your favorite coffee shop, at a wedding, or even around town. In this class, you will learn how to take your lettering skills to the chalkboard. You will learn the basics of chalk lettering, such as which materials are needed, how to season your chalkboard, and how to sketch basic designs and add dimension. You will learn how to write in serif, sans serif , and script fonts, along with embellishments and flourishes to complement your lettering.
You will receive a worksheet packet with a guide to the basics, font examples, embellishment examples, and more!
